What Home Means to Stacie
Home: what a beautiful word! What a beautiful feeling. When I close the door, I’m enveloped by safety and quiet. I feel the warmth of my well-used belongings.

Hi! I’m Karsen McGee, the new Office Manager and Transactional Assistant for the Stacie Pineda Real Estate Group. The idea of working in the real estate industry had never crossed my mind but I couldn’t be more thankful to have ended up in the position I am in with this incredible team.
After a conversation about snow flurries with a new client, I was reminded of my early days living in
the High Country soon after my family had moved here from Colorado Springs. I was at a rehab appointment for a recent injury. (Unfortunately, it was a building I cannot place, but
it was not any of the current rehab locations.) During my appointment, activity picked up all around
me. People were scurrying, phones were ringing, and staff were whispering about school dismissing
at 1:00.
This is Melody! I was raised in Watauga County and I graduated from North Carolina universities (Go App State! Go Tarheels!). Then I traveled the world as an aid worker in South Sudan, Uganda, Haiti, among others. This education and experience prepared me professionally and enhanced my appreciation of the High Country.
My name is Isaiah (“Ike”) Franks and I have lived in the High Country for the majority of my life. I consider myself a Watauga County native (26 years and counting) and briefly left the area during my college years but this area has a way of calling you back “home.”

My name is Stacie Pineda and have lived in Boone for over 20 years. My husband accepted a position here in Boone when our four kids were practically babes (at least from a mom’s perspective):
